At the Newmarket elections held on March 14, voters approved renovations at Newmarket Jr./Sr. High School and Newmarket Elementary School. Despite the storm, voters turned out in good numbers to cast their ballots. The $39 million warrant article passed with 74% voter approval.
We are beyond excited about this project and what it means for our students and the Newmarket community as a whole. Achieving a successful bond vote is the first step to upgrading our facilities and enhancing the student learning experience. Stay tuned for information about the formation of a building committee in the coming weeks.
My most sincere thanks to those who have worked so hard over so many years to get us to this place, and my thanks to Newmarket citizens for their respectful dialogue during this process. Thank you Newmarket voters for your support in moving this project forward. The future for our schools–and most importantly our students–looks bright!
